|

A suspect has been arrested in a fatal Houston car accident in the 200 block of Broadway that occurred about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 14.

Jose Rios-Posadas, 22, was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in the 248th State District Court. The victims, a male, and a female, were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of both are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

The accident occurred as the victims were traveling eastbound in the 200 block of Broadway in a green Ford Explorer when Rios-Posadas, traveling westbound on Broadway in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, jumped a concrete median, crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck the Explorer. Both persons inside the Explorer were killed and Rios-Posadas, who was arrested at the scene, was not injured.
