Emergency crews reportedly say a young man was visiting friends fishing on Fountain Hill Lake in Lenoir County, NC when he jumped into the water and tried to swim to a raft but didn't make it back to land.
Several boats searched for the youth, and dive teams and a number of law enforcement agencies combed both water and land for the teen. Fountain Hill Lake is reported to be 30 feet deep in some spots, making rescue -- or recovery -- more difficult.
Fearing the worst, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office is waiting to release the man's name until his body is recovered. Crews say will continue the search.
