A seven-year-old boy was injured when he ran out from between two cars into a moving trolley in Southwest Philadelphia last month, say reports.
The unidentified youngster was transported to Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania with head, shoulder and leg injuries, and his condition was not immediately known.
The accident occurred in the morning before school, about 7:50 a.m. on Chester Avenue at 54th Street in Kingsessing. Trolley service was suspended between 49th and 58th Streets while police conducted an investigation. But reports say the child was never caught beneath the trolley and he was never hit by the wheel; just the coachwork of the trolley.
