Reports say that after a night of heavy drug and alcohol use three youths were hospitalized for serious injuries in a single-car auto accident.
Folsom, CA emergency services were called to the scene of an accident in a gated community to find two males and one female between the ages of 16 and 17 who had been ejected from a crushed Ford Explorer. The driver, who was reportedly an unlicensed 17-year old male, was the only one of the four in the car who wasn't seriously injured. He was also the only occupant wearing a seat belt.
Reports say investigators found whiskey bottles and drug paraphernalia along the slope where the vehicle rolled over, indicating alcohol and drugs had likely caused the accident. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs causing serious injury and booked at the Sacramento Juvenile Hall.
The SUV apparently swerved onto a sidewalk and lost control, then rolled across vacant property until it came to a halt - without three of the four passengers.
