The driver of a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck headed eastbound in the 8100 block of River Drive at a high rate of speed and drove into a ditch in front of a residence when the road made an abrupt turn. The driver struck a concrete driveway and lost control of the pickup, which then struck a tree, rolled over, and landed upside down.
The driver, Arturo Aviles, 26, address unknown, was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene. An investigation is continuing.
