Body Found In River Identified

|

A man whose body was found partially submerged in the Schuylkill River early this month has been identified, reports say, as Alan Ruggles, 54, of Reading, PA.

The man's body was found in the river, between the Berks County Fire Training Center and the Thun Trail, in Cumru Township, but authorities had no idea how he had died or who he was. And although the coroner could apparently not determine when he died or how long he was in the water, the manner of death was consistent with accidental drowning.

The death is still under investigation, however, and a ruling on the manner of Ruggles' death is pending, although reports say there was no sign of foul play.
