Racing Drowns Victims

|

Jermaine Frank and Raymond Ally were found drowned in a car after racing on public roads, reports say. Reports say Ally, who is a legitimate drag racer with notable wins to his credit, was driving and taking a corner at high speed when he lost control of the vehicle. It veered off the roadway and overturned in a canal near. The pair was evidently trapped in the vehicle for some time before rescuers managed to retrieve their bodies.

The two had been out earlier in the evening on which they died, reports say, and were evidently possibly intoxicated as they headed for another after-hours establishment at around 1:30 in the morning when they crashed.

Reports also say that a witness traveling behind Ally's vehicle saw that he was drag-racing the driver of a white car. The same witness said he saw the driver of the white car stop his car to render aid for a few minutes, but was unable to locate the other car. He returned to the shore screaming, then got into his car and sped away. Other witness' reports say that the men had passed them at such high speed that his vehicle shook.

Alcohol consumption was reportedly detected during post-mortem examination and mud was found in the victims' lungs and stomachs, leading authorities to believe they were alive for some time in the vehicle.

Post mortems performed yesterday on drag-racing champion, Raymond Ally, and Jermaine Frank confirmed that the friends died from drowning after they were trapped in Ally's submerged car.
