An apparent drowning victim identified as a 60-year-old Lake Shore man, was recovered from the waters of Upper Gull Lake recently, reports say.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, had apparently been working on his dock when he somehow fell into the water. He was never reported missing.
But a few hours later, Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a body found in Upper Gull Lake near Point Narrows in Lake Shore. His body was discovered by an angler, who brought the victim to shore. The victim had been pulled from the water by the time emergency services were called, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, reports say.
The incident is still under investigation and an autopsy is scheduled, reports say.
