The death of a toddler who died earlier this month after family members found her in a pool behind her North Charleston, S.C. home has been ruled an accidental drowning, reports say.
21-month-old Nora Flores died was pronounced dead from drowning about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 at Medical University Hospital. Even though Charleston County EMS failed to resuscitate the unconscious and unresponsive child, they continued the effort by transporting her to the hospital.
Emergency services were called to the home in North Charleston about 5:10 p.m. in response to the discovery of the little girl, reports say, after family members lost sight of the child and then, after a brief search, found her in a nearby pool.
