A Phoenix toddler died after being found in a backyard pool in west Phoenix recently. Reports say the toddler found his way into the backyard pool through an unlocked doggie door.
Reports say emergency services responded to a home on North 113th Drive where they found the 2-year-old boy unresponsive after having fallen into the family swimming pool. Family members had already performed CPR on the boy, but the toddler was not breathing and did not have a pulse when emergency crews arrived.
The boy was with his mother and grandparents but somehow slipped away. After looking for him for about a half-hour, they found him in the backyard pool filled with green, murky water. Reports say the toddler exited the house through a doggy door into the backyard and fell into the pool.
