A toy 30-month old Pomeranian named Annabelle was mauled to death by two beagles earlier this month when she was dropped off at a doggie daycare, reports say.
The dog, a 5 pound animal which had evidently been in the You Dirty Dog, the daycare in question, previously was put in a play area with other dogs of similar size - although Annabelle's owner reportedly says they didn't know she'd be playing with other dogs when the signed the waiver checking Annabelle in.
But owners reportedly stated that it was part of the boarding experience - and clearly stated on their website that the dogs play together in a full range of activities. Annabelle was killed by beagles which also weighed less than 20 pounds.
For their part, the manager of You Dirty Dog says they plan to pay the vet bills, cremation bills and buy the family a new dog.
