Houston police have been asking for the public's assistance in locating a motorist involved in a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 2000 State Highway 6 about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 6th, reports say.
The victim, a male, age unknown, was walking in the roadway of State Highway 6 northbound when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model. The vehicle then fled the scene. There were evidently no known witnesses.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences and the investigation continues. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4065.
